Broadband ISPs
The Opportunity
To increase broadband subscribers, ISPs must deliver seamless integration
with disparate last-mile provider systems. The benefits of this level
of connectivity are lower costs to service customers, coupled with the
opportunity to provide the advanced services that are enabled by a broadband
connection. Although the margins for broadband customers are currently
lower than those of narrowband customers, effective integration - and
new service offerings - ensure the relative contribution of broadband
customers will continue to grow.
The Challenges
Offering broadband services is much more complex than traditional narrowband
service, and requires ISPs to establish links with partners across three
key dimensions: physical connectivity, logical connectivity and business
process (see figure below).
Integrating with broadband providers is complicated by the fact that
their systems are varied with often no standard message exchange requirements.
Providers are also constantly updating and changing their business processes,
message requirement and architectures, making maintenance a challenging
component of any long-term solution. As a result, ensuring accurate serviceability
information; integrated order placement; customer tracking and integrated
customer care processes have proven difficult - and costly.
The Solution
We offer swift and seamless integration with a wide range of last mile
providers. This enables efficient customer acquisition, rapid time to
market, and an accurate and reliable customer experience. Key features
of the DSL Service for ISPs include:
Direct and existing integration with availability/provisioning systems
Works within existing ISP OSS environment
Catalog management tools for normalizing data across providers
Supports ISP sales channels, including Web, retail, and CSRs
Leverages open standards (e.g., XML, Java) to ensure scalability and interoperability
Enables ISPs to maintain and control business relationships with key partners
Our existing integration and proven processes ensure that the Broadband
can be deployed rapidly and cost effectively - dramatically increasing
the scope of ISP sales initiatives, without driving costs. |
