Broadband Catching Dial-Up
Article #: 3

Date:
Article: The number of U.S. households with broadband increased 43% in the last 12 months, but service providers need to do more to market products, the Yankee Group said last week. Most of the growth was as a result of people switching to high-speed cable or DSL from dial-up, which remains the dominant method for Internet access, the market-research firm said. A total of 23 million households are projected to have high-speed connections by year's end.
